Freestanding Emergency Center

Kansas Medical Center’s Freestanding Emergency Department provides emergency care and advanced diagnostic services to support a growing community. TESSERE partnered closely with Kansas Medical Center staff to create a patient-centered environment through the use of high-end finishes, open and inviting spaces, and abundant natural daylight, resulting in a hospitality-inspired experience. 

The 10,000-square-foot facility features ten patient treatment rooms, a trauma care center, and comprehensive diagnostic services, including CT, laboratory, and ultrasound capabilities. Designed with future expansion in mind, the department can accommodate four additional high-acuity treatment rooms, ensuring continued access to critical emergency care as community needs grow.
