Humboldt Middle School

TESSERE partnered with Humboldt School District on a comprehensive facilities assessment focused on addressing aging infrastructure, enhancing educational spaces, and investing in facility improvements that would support long-term district goals.

Humboldt Middle School underwent a significant modernization project that combined strategic additions with targeted renovations. A new corridor connected the main building to the D-Tech facility, creating direct access to specialized learning spaces including computer labs, a woodshop, and art classrooms. The project also introduced a new art wing featuring an expanded classroom, dedicated kiln room, dual sinks, and increased storage to support creative and hands-on learning experiences.

Additional upgrades included two new classrooms, a dedicated teacher lounge, the conversion of the former art room into a computer lab, science classroom improvements, and the installation of energy-efficient HVAC systems. Together, these enhancements increased functionality and collaboration among students and staff, creating a more flexible and sustainable educational environment.
