The interior and exterior renovation of the Winds Hotel took the former western style hotel and transformed it into a modern oasis. The hotel is located along Interstate 135 in Park City, KS, on land owned by the Wyandotte Nation will draw guests from the highway and visitors of the Crosswinds Casino. It features a 24-hour shuttle to and from the hotel.
The three-story, 40,000 SF facility features 70 rooms plus guest amenities including a conference center, gym, and lounge where a continental breakfast is served. Each of the three floors were completely remodeled to repair building construction issues, bring the facility up to code, address ADA requirements, and replace and refresh all interior finishes, furniture, and equipment with beautiful, comfortable, modern updates.
TESSERE worked with a local furniture suppliers to specify custom guest room furniture and bathroom fixtures. Guest rooms feature light colored walls with blue accents and natural elements and textures for a homy feel. Bright lights, charging stations, desk, and closet space enhance the guest experience. New comfortable furniture was specified in the dining and lounge areas adjacent to the updated gym, conference center, and fully stocked pantry. All new furnishings complimented the gorgeous, spacious remodeled lobby and were coordinated with the overall hotel design for a cohesive feel.
On the exterior of the building, a Wild West themed façade was replaced with a modern grey and white color pallet for a clean inviting look. The parking lot was changed to feature additional modern lighting for safety, ADA parking, and landscaping to beautify the exterior as well as act as wayfinding for incoming guests at all times of the day and evening.
