LEED Gold, Greensburg, Kansas
After being devastated by a tornado, the City of Greensburg, Kansas needed a place to foster community growth and interaction. The Kiowa County Commons was created out of this need, incorporating several amenities into one highly integrated facility and providing an unprecedented level of connectivity, resources, and education to rural residents.
Project Details
Located in Greensburg, Kansas, this 20,210-square-foot building includes the Greensburg branch of the Kiowa County Public Library, the Kiowa County Kansas State University Research and Extension Office, the Kiowa County Historical Museum and the Greensburg/Kiowa County Community Media Center. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification.
