St. Catherine of Siena Education Center

Outgrowing a parish is a great problem to have, but it still requires a solution. TESSERE developed a comprehensive master plan for the entire St. Catherine of Siena campus, addressing existing facilities and outlining the phased development of both a new school and a new church. The resulting Education Center was designed with its own distinct identity, yet intentionally serves as a physical bridge between the previous church and the new sanctuary.

The completed accredited school in Wichita, Kansas serves students from prekindergarten through eighth grade and includes classrooms, a gymnasium/parish hall, administrative offices, and a variety of support spaces. Each classroom is equipped with flexible technology that allows the spaces to convert easily into multimedia conference rooms. The gymnasium features a high‑school‑sized basketball court, a modern sound system, zoned lighting, and a durable flooring system designed to accommodate multiple types of activities and parish events.
