Responding to the needs of a growing student body, TESSERE designed two interconnected facilities for Newman University that strengthen the campus core and enhance the student experience. Linked by a central rotunda, the buildings form a unified complex, with spaces designed to be inclusive, flexible, and highly engaging for students, faculty, and visitors.
This 110,000‑square‑foot dual‑facility project was completed in two phases. Phase 1 introduced a new 1,200‑seat gymnasium along with an aerobics room, weight and training rooms, locker rooms, administrative offices, and a campus fitness center. Phase 2 expanded the University’s academic and cultural offerings with a performance hall, art gallery and exhibition space, flexible studio theatre, and dedicated classrooms and labs for instrumental and vocal music, forensics, graphic arts, and ceramics.
Together, these facilities create a cohesive destination that supports athletics, academics, arts, and student life at Newman University.
