New 155-member Army Reserve Center
This project represents all of the experience required to design an Army Reserve Center that meets all the needs for the users
of the facility. TESSERE has vast knowledge of those requirements and have used that experience in the preparation of the construction documents for this facility.
TESSERE created the full design of the new 155 member Army Reserve Center with supporting facilities. The supporting facilities
included an OMS, a UHS, a privately-owned vehicle parking (POV) lot, and an MEP Parking lot. This project also included the design of a left-turn land for safe entrance and exit of the facility. The Training Center is a one-story facility constructed with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) walls with brick veneer, a system of steel beams, bar joist and trusses with a low slope thermoplastic (PVC) roofing system and mechanical and electrical systems. The Training Center contains administrative offices, education classrooms, an assembly hall, a kitchen, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, physical fitness area, and equipment storage areas.
The 42,448 SF Training Center contains administrative, education classrooms, assembly hall, kitchen, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, physical fitness area, and equipment storage areas. Force protection (physical security) measures were incorporated into the design including maximum feasible standoff distance. The Training Center and OMS were designed for maximum energy efficiency and achieved LEED Silver Certification.
