Cloud County Community College (CCCC) is set to make waves in educational innovation with the grand opening of its new Technical Education and Innovation Center. This state-of-the-art facility will not only transform the educational landscape for nursing, renewable energy, and agricultural and industrial programs, but it also aims to strengthen the workforce in Kansas by addressing critical industry needs.

A Central Hub for Learning

Spanning an impressive 35,000 square feet, the Technical Education and Innovation Center is strategically designed to bring together several departments that were previously spread across multiple facilities. This consolidation is part of a master plan developed by our team at TESSERE, aimed at creating a cohesive campus feel and enhancing collaboration among programs.

With dedicated spaces including a nursing skills classroom and simulation lab, a climb/drone space, and specialized labs for solar energy, hydraulics, and welding, the Center will serve as a dynamic learning environment. These adaptable spaces will not only facilitate hands-on training but also strengthen partnerships between the college and local industries.

Fostering Community and Collaboration

One of the standout features of the Technical Education and Innovation Center is its commitment to community involvement. The facility will serve as a “front door” to CCCC, welcoming new students, alumni, and community members alike. Open gathering spaces and multifunctional classrooms will showcase the college’s programs, acting as vital recruitment and retention tools.
Importantly, the Center will also support the continuing education of health care professionals from the adjacent Cloud County Health Center. Collaborative education and mentorship programs will further enrich the student experience, ensuring that learners are well-prepared for the workforce.

A Strong Investment in the Future

The Technical Education and Innovation Center represents a significant investment in the future of education and workforce development in Kansas. Funded entirely through grants and generous donations from key industry partners—such as Salina Regional Health Center, the North Central Kansas Medical Center, and various foundations—this $17 million project underscores the community’s commitment to fostering talent and innovation.
The Technical Education and Innovation Center at Cloud County Community College promises to be a cornerstone for education, innovation, and community collaboration in Kansas. As we look to the future, this facility stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in shaping a skilled and capable workforce.
