When Reiloy USA, a subsidiary of Reifenhauser, needed a new building in Maize, KS they turned to TESSERE Architecture. This 61,000 SF new construction project began in July of 2019 and was completed in October of 2020. The building allows Reiloy to cast “American Made” barrels for injection and extrusion applications and custom designed screws.
The build consisted of a pre-engineered metal building structure with three new covered loading docks, break room, restrooms, and locker rooms, casting room, and small office area with Quality Assurance lab. TESSERE worked with Reiloy to design a large, open, multipurpose space that can be restructured as needed to accommodate future projects.
The site is the first building Reiloy has constructed in Kansas that is not a leased property. The building was constructed in a manner to allow for future expansion.
TESSERE provided architecture, civil engineering, interior design, construction administration and project management throughout the project. MKEC Engineering, Inc. and Crossland Construction partnered with TESSERE to bring the project to life.
