Our healthcare team understands the unique challenges rural communities face in delivering high‑quality medical care far from the resources of larger cities. For this project, we considered USDA funding requirements, geographic accessibility, and the diverse needs of a widely dispersed population as we replaced an outdated 1950s hospital with a modern, efficient facility.
Located in Kiowa, Kansas, the completed 28,000‑square‑foot rural hospital features private patient rooms, an imaging suite, a centralized nurse station, an operating room suite, a special procedure room, a two‑bay trauma emergency department, a central laboratory, and eight exam rooms. TESSERE also developed a master plan to support future expansion as community healthcare needs continue to evolve.
