Wheatland Electric Cooperative engaged TESSERE to design a new headquarters on a 22‑acre site in Great Bend, Kansas, to support the company’s continued growth and expanding staff. TESSERE provided full architectural services for the 39,970‑square‑foot facility, which features a Member Services and Administration area with ten offices, a staff break room and restrooms, a conference room, dedicated IT offices, and office storage space. The operations area includes a 240‑square‑foot classroom for ongoing staff training along with multiple storage closets.

In addition to the main building, the site development includes a 1,250‑square‑foot warehouse and truck barn, complete with an exterior awning to enhance vehicle maintenance capacity. A designated, fenced‑in laydown yard was incorporated into the overall site design to accommodate equipment, poles, tools, and other materials essential to Wheatland’s daily operations.
