South Central Regional Mental Health Hospital

TESSERE and Pulse Design Group are partnering on a 166,143-square-foot behavioral health facility designed to serve a total of 104 patients, with dedicated units for both forensic and acute care populations.

This state-of-the-art facility emphasizes a modern, patient-centered design approach, intentionally moving away from the institutional character of past facilities. Architectural and site strategies focus on creating a more supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes patient health, dignity, and well-being.

TESSERE’s scope of work includes the exterior design of the building as well as comprehensive site design, contributing to a cohesive campus that supports safety, accessibility, and long-term functionality.

Construction began in January 2025, and the facility is anticipated to be completed in October 2026.
