After 40 years of serving the community, the Shawnee Heights Fire District facility was in need of a major overhaul. The new Station 27 addresses the District’s growing operational needs and accommodates modern equipment. These upgrades include administrative offices, a training room, fitness facilities, and living spaces for firefighters. Innovative design strategies were incorporated in the new design to promote mental health and support effective decontamination procedures, ensuring the health and safety of the crew.
The second phase of the project involves demolishing the existing Station 21 and constructing a new 13,000 SF satellite station on the same site. This updated facility will provide the Fire District with the space and functionality needed to continue serving the community effectively.
