Following the design and construction of nearly 1,000,000-square-feet of manufacturing facilities in McPherson, Kansas, Viega again partnered with TESSERE to expand operations with a new Northeast Manufacturing Facility in Ohio. Strategically located to serve a growing customer base in the northeastern United States and access a new workforce, the 224,000-square-foot facility is planned for future expansion up to 1,000,000-square-feet.
In addition to manufacturing, the facility reinforces Viega’s strong commitment to education and training. Customer-facing areas include product displays, seminar rooms, and hands-on workshop spaces. A glass-enclosed mezzanine walkway offers direct views into the production floor, showcasing manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, maintenance operations, quality control, and logistics.
Sustainability was a key driver throughout the project. TESSERE and Viega designed the facility to be fully electric, eliminating the need for natural gas infrastructure. The building is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification, with plans to pursue Net Carbon Zero certification following one year of operation.
More than a manufacturing facility, this project represents a holistic approach to growth. Blending production, training, sustainability, and design into a single, adaptable campus.
