Joint Base Lewis-McChord Barracks

This project is for a 3-bldg complex of Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) located at Joint Base Lewis McChord WA for 268 soldiers & athletic field relocation.  Included in the project requirements are Energy Monitoring and Control systems  (EMCS) connection, Substainable Design and Dev (SSD) and Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05).  Measures in accordance with the Dept of Defense (DOD) Minimum Antiterrorism for bldg standards will be provided.  Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are required.  Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided in public areas.  This army apartment complex consists of two bedroom, open bath dwelling units with kitchen (1+1E module) similiar in features, standards and layout to apartment compexes int he surrounding community.  The space inside the individual dwelling units is maximized versus providing additional spaces that were not listed in the functional requirements of the RFP.  The buildings are configured as garden style apartments, minimizing circulation.  Exterior entry landings are provided predicated upon the weather criteria of the geographical area.
